DVB Bank organization was paralyzed due to dysfunctional decision making, the business model is unsustainable and lacks strategic direction, and has a terrible risk assessment, according to a review by a former employee at glassdoor.com
"Dysfunctional decision making paralyzed the organization. There is no accountability. DVB's last few years result says it all, the business model is not sustainable, largely due to poor management and terrible assessment of risk. The company lacks strategic direction."
Former Employee - Assistant Vice President says"Capital markets/corporate finance team is very different. It's managed separately by a very incompetent MD. Other senior bankers on the team were hired after they were let go from boutique banks for not being able to generate enough revenue. No one on the team is capable of bringing in deals. Unlike other front office IB groups, the team is actually a cost center to the bank. It spends most of its time on internal presentations to convince senior management to keep it in place. AVPs spend bulk of its time on random FP&A projects. Experience was miserable and there's nowhere to go after awhile given lack of deal experience."
Former Employee - Anonymous Employee says"If your face does not fit - you will have no future in this company. Managers may be an expert in their particular field, however they are unable to man manage their staff!"
